Marianna Gillespie
Marianna Gillespie is a Russian born French competitive freediver. A World Record holder and six-times World Champion, she is the youngest winner of the Vertical Blue competition.
Since the start of her career, Marianna has been accumulating titles and achievements. At the age of 31, she became the first French female to dive beyond -100m with a monofin, setting a National Record in constant weight to -102 meters, then increasing it further to 103 meters.
One of the most decorated freedivers in the World, she is the only French freediver who exceeds in all disciplines, in depth and in the pool. She currently holds all French National records in depth, several records in the pool and a World Record in constant weight bi-fins.
